Kwaito star Bonginkosi “Zola 7” Dlamini first revealed he has epilepsy on Mac G’s Podcast and Chill a couple of months ago. During the interview, he spoke about a time his condition was so severe that people around him were fearful that he would die.
“I lost a lot of weight over the past year. I was extremely sick, I was home and I was shaking. Everybody around me was scared I was going to die. I couldn’t eat well. I was eating Mageu, porridge and Fish.
“Nowadays I have to take medication twice a day just to get by. I was very sick during that song (with Cassper) and I think we did about 25 cuts. I was fighting to look normal, but I wasn’t. I was extremely very sick during that video,” he explained
The media personality says sometimes he passes out for 5 minutes and the longest time he passed out was two days.
Zola stated that epilepsy is very hectic and campaigns should be created so that people are well-informed about the illness.
The musician was born with epilepsy and has to take different kinds of medication to keep him alive because it may kill him.
