Osama is not hailed as song of the year for no reason and his supporters are proving why the song should be. Not only is the song getting a lot of airplay, but it reportedly broke records of being the first and only song to stay at number 1 for 10 consecutive weeks on South African radio charts.

The song Osama first got popularity during his set at Shimza’s Kunye Music festival. Social media peeps put pressure on Zakes Bantwini to release the song before it’s initial release date. The pre-release even got to taste the number 1 spot on Radio Monitor’s charts, making his wife Nandi Madida proud.

According to reports, before Zakes released his gem, Prince Kaybee was the only artist to have a number one song for 12 weeks but not consecutively. This is for his hit song Fetch Your Life featuring Msaki.

Hopefully this will prove Black Coffee otherwise, as he said he prefers the original song instead of Zakes Bantwini’s sampled version.
