Y’all, it’s official! Eswatini’s own rising star WassaBee is about to make her debut performance in South Africa, and it’s gonna be lit! Mark your calendars for September 28 because she’s sharing the stage with some heavy hitters in the music scene like Usimamane and De Mthuda at Coyotes Shisanyama.
This event, part of the Mpumalanga Spring Fest, is major, also featuring Mlindo The Vocalist. Like, can you even imagine the vibes? This is a huge deal for WassaBee, being her first big break in the South African music scene. If you’re not familiar yet, WassaBee is killing it as Eswatini’s first mainstream female hip hop DJ. This girl’s journey has been all kinds of inspiring.
WassaBee started from the bottom (DJ-ing virtually, you guys!), and now she’s out here mastering CDJs and turning tables like a pro. She literally kicked off her career in May 2023 and went from a virtual DJ to commanding crowds at legit venues. Her first official gig was at The Xchange Lounge in Eswatini, and from there, the bookings just kept rolling in. Now she’s about to take over SA!
She’s already graced some lit spots like MTN Bushfire and Ocean Cuisine – and she’s not stopping anytime soon! We love to see it.
