Gee Six Five (real name Olpha Selepe) 65-year-old internet-made star, has been added to the list of totally unexpected things to come out of 2020, when she not only instantly went viral for her amapiano song. But made it to the top of the SA iTunes music charts!

Her message on the song is clear. She talks about people pointing fingers and blaming others for the problems they face instead of fixing the problems themselves.

Gee Six Five is a retiree from Umgungundlovu TVET College where she worked as a manager. Social media is talking about Gee Six Five’s new song Obani Lababantu which went viral over the past weekend and are even believing that her song is definitely a December hit.

She says she isn’t intending to behave like a teenager in her videos but wants to show people that Amapiano are loved by both young and old. She will be making more music in the not so distant future.

“Old people can blend in wherever they want and should never sell themselves short. The love I’ve received is overwhelming. I’m planning to do more music.” she said. Education is one aspect of her life she takes seriously. She has revealed that she started working on the sensational track while studying towards her PhD in Education at UKZN.
