Every artist has that dream they want to accomplish, and Yemaa has ticked a box. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter, whose real name is Nompendulo Nsibande has inked a lucrative deal with Universal Music South Africa.
Speaking to Eswatini Observer, Yemaa confirmed that she has signed a deal with the stable, and right now she’s busy working on music. “People should expect a single and video before the end of this year” revealed the singer.
Opening up to the publication, Yemaa explained that the plan was to release an EP this year, but with all the restrictions and the unrest they had to reconsider and work on a single which would be followed by a music video.
She has started working on music and has a great production team, which includes South African electronic duo Black Motion and Ruff who recently won a SAMA for Sjava’s latest album. The singer also disclosed that her team is also working on a possible collaboration with Da Capo.
