On throw back Thurdays we take a considerable dive back into the past to look at some of the things that made our childhood memorable. This Thusrday, we thought we should take a nostalgic look back at the phones of yesteryear.

Do you still remember the Samsung E250? Mfana if you never owned this one then you weren’t a cool kid. Yes, the buttons were still a bit chunky, but that didn’t matter because you looked super cool sliding your phone open to send extremely important text messages  usually a carefully curated combo of upper and lower case letters – yA Know WaT i MeAn?

Nokia

The 3310 was basic, but super loyal and could teach the iPhone a thing or two. It was impossible to break, easy to use, and it had a battery that just did not stop. In fact it may or may not be running.

Blackberry

Believe it or not, this was one of the first phone from Blackberry and it was futuristic, even in its design. The design was a bit chunky back then but it was actually one of the first phones to come out with a colour screen. The company has since made a comeback since the death of BIS and the damage to the brand.

Motorola

Remember the Motorola Razr V3? This phone was fresh and loved by all. The Motorola Razr was the ultimate phone for the noughtie’s “cool girl”. It was sleek in design, had a colour screen and slipped surreptitiously in to your school uniform pocket – which made it perfect for under-the-desk texting. *Heek*
