Since the media personality, made an exit from the Idols SA show, TV ratings plunged from over 1 million to just 693 000 startlingly shedding hundreds of thousands of viewers and losing almost a third of its entire audience.
Idols SA viewers are set on having Somizi Mhlongo reappointed as the judge on the much loved singing competition show. No amount of guest celebrity judges can help “save” the show in terms of ratings and keeping their avid viewers.
After last night’s episode, which was nothing short of “boring” according to viewers, they continue flooding Somizi’s comments section on Instagram on a daily, with messages begging him to make a return. Seems as though Unathi Nkayi and Randall Abrahams including the guest judges could not impress viewers.
