On Saturday, the acting Prime Minister Themba Masuku announced the re-opening of the art and entertainment with effect from today 22 March, 2021. This comes two days after the re-opening of schools, churches and alcohol ban lift.
This came as good news to event organizers, artists as well as fun lovers who had been questioning the government’s ‘unfair’ decision of keeping the industry shut and some had even planned to stage a protest.
The re-opened events are considered as low risks and these include: Theatre, Comedy, Poetry, Fashion shows, small scale choral music, small scale music concerts, small scale lunches, movie houses, museums and art galleries.
However, there are strict rules to be followed. The acting Prime Minister Themba Masuku said activities must be held subject to strict adherence to all COVID-19 health protocols and under certain conditions.
Other than that, better start polishing those dance moves, cause it’s about to go down.
