The Organizers of the Social Media Awards, Swazi Boy Entertainment, launched the 2021 edition yesterday, Tuesday 01 August.
The event which was attended by a limited number of guests which included the Eswatini National Council of Arts and culture CEO, Stanely Dlamini was held at Happy Valley Hotel in Zulwini.
In this year’s edition comes with a little twist, there will be mini-awards for people to nominate and vote for their local personalities who will get in the top 10 national awards nominations. There’ll also be n educational programme about social media and its usefulness. The aim is to work with the young people of Eswatini from every sphere of the kingdom.
Also, it was discovered that in the 1st edition of the Social Media Awards, the youth that participated in the awards were largely from the Manzini-Mbabane corridor. Therefore, the organizers have decided to bridge the gap this year and have this nationally. In each category, there will be four winners who will represent the Hhohho, Lubombo, Shiselweni and Manzini regions.
