The Spotlight season 3 is heating up as the show’s remaining contestants have been narrowed down from top 6 to top 3.
The competition continues until, December 11, when the champion will finally be crowned. But before then let’s look back at some of the best performances from the Sunday show.
The show stepped up with the six contestants performing one song each as they fought it out for a spot in the top 3. Sadly, right after the performances it was the end of the road for Mnqobi Nkambule, Simphiwe Mnisi and Phakamile Dlamini.
Making it through to the top 3 are Sanele Mkhwanazi, Nobesuthu Zungu and Nonjabulo Magagula. With their second performances the top 3 tried to show the judges and viewers that not only do they have the talent, but also the power to convince that either one of them could be the winner of The Spotlight S3.
Sanele first gave his rendition of “Inhlitiyo” by Loyiso and his second performance was “All of me” by John Legend. He bagged great comments from Ndumiso, Velemseni, Khulekani and guest judge season 1 top 3 finalist, song-writer and award-winning artist Yemaa.
Nonjabulo gave us a great performance with her rendition of “Everybody knows” by John legend and “Barely” by Velemseni for her second performance. Yemaa commented on how great her voice is and how she understands her range. While Velemseni advised her to explore her voice and not be afraid to hit the high notes.
Nobesuthu performed “Mirror” by Madison Ryann Ward and for her second performance she sent the judges and viewers to church with her rendition of “Yekumusa” by Ntokozo Mbambo.
