Tumelo Vilakati has always wanted to enter the MTN spotlight talent search since its inception last year, but had to concentrate on here studies since the show happened mostly during the time when she was in the middle of writing her exams. When the 19-year-old from Ezulwini saw the opportunity this year, she decided to grab it with both hands and without hesitation!
“With the competition going digital, I found it so much easier and less stressful to enter as I could create my videos in the comfort of my home”, she shares.
Tumelo was dared to enter The MTN Spotlight by a friend when playing an online game of ‘ no bounds Truth or dare’. Her dare was to sing on The MTN Spotlight and that’s how her journey begin.
