1.Tell us about yourself?
I am Nobesuthu Zungu aged 20 years. I hail from the small town of Luyengo. Many would attest to my vibrant and infectious energy and personality. Me and gloom are like water and oil.
- Why did you join Spotlight?
Joining the MTN Spotlight competition was not entirely my decision but my friends’ and family’s idea. Had it not been for the faith that they had in me, I wouldn’t be here right now. Spotlight was just the kind of exposure that a church songbird like me needed.
- How does it feel making it this far in the competition?
No words can express the deep humility that I feel that I have made it this far, not just by my talent alone but also through my dear fans’ support, it’s a definite honour.
- Describe your Spotlight experience in 3 words.
My Spotlight journey has not been anything less than educative, enthralling and awesome.
- Which are your 3 Favorite performances?
My best top 3 perfomances have to be Yekumusa by Ntokozo Mbambo, Girl on fire by Alicia Keys and Hamba by Amanda Black.
- Who is your music idol?
Amazingly enough, I don’t have a musical idol. I want to give myself enough room to grow without feeling restricted to learning from one person.
- What advice would you give to a potential spotlight contestant?
I’d advise a potential Spotlight contestant to put in their all from their first audition and have fun because they would never know when their last performance could be.
- First things you’ll do if you win?
One of the first things I’d do if would win is to thank God ,get a driver’s license and have lunch with my dearest supporters to show my appreciation and love.
