Social media’s powers never go unproven as a video clip of innocent young girls having fun has opened up great opportunities for them. The young ladies, Tshegofatso Maepa, Katlego Mohlahlo, Kgomotso Aphane, Oratilwe Mokwatlo, and Lebogang Motalane were going out to celebrate their friend’s birthday and in their jovial spirits without a clue that their dance moves would go viral.

As they went along their merry way they took a pit stop at a petrol station and captured themselves dancing to the hit song John Vuligate, oblivious to the thought that their video would be their big break and ticket to fame. The whole thing was inspired by a WhatsApp status on Katlego Mohlahlo’s friend phone who had posted the ”Vuligate dance challenge” which they loved and decided to create their own video for the fun of it!

These teenage girls have been criticised for their video, with people name-calling them and speaking ill of them. This, however, didn’t damper their spirits nor hinder their breakthrough as they are now being endorsed by different brands seeking to work with them.

Well! who knew that good clean fun could make you big in the entertainment industry! What a Wow…..
