We all grew up listening to the sounds of boMdu Masilela, boMzekezeke, Alaska and Trompies. However, when we were introduced to the one of a kind Zulu flow yaPitch Black Afro, we knew the game had changed.
Come to think of it, once you heard the guy spit bars, you didn’t really care about his obsure afro and massive teeth lol! Apparently his 2004 album release, ‘Styling Gel’, went on to sell 50,000 copies and went platinum, making him the bestselling rapper at the time! Our favorite songs to date are, “Never Let You”, “Let’s Make Love” and the self-titled “Pitch Black Afro”.
