Award-winning soul musician Bholoja whose real name is Mbongiseni Ngubane penned a lengthy letter to the late Isaac Gamedze on Instagram. Isaac Gamedze was a mentor to many and also inspired numerous singers in the industry. He passed away in March, 2021 at the age of 54.

In his heartfelt letter, the “Ikhonkhotsa ilele” singer said he remembers how much of a giving brother and a great coach he was.  He also revealed how the late legend encouraged him to sing in siswati and be original as well as sing with confidence.

He wrote:

“Rest in peace brother.Isaac Gamedze ,my mentor he taught me a lot of things he was never selfish with guitar chords ,we never had internet and wifi back then even cellphones people were stingy with their music knowledge you will hunt for one chord for months just to add to your recipe ?yah hey , but him was a giving brother and a great coach.he encouraged me to sing in siswati and be original,he taught me to sing with confidence and punch my voice when singing he taught me country and western music.He always had time for me.thank you brother Ngiyabonga.”

Eswatini and the music industry really lost a gem. May his soul continue to rest in peace.
