#ThrowBackThursday: The Classic House Songs that Made Us Dance

House music has always had a home in Swaziland; from tribal house to techno, deep house and afro-infused house. Over the years, the genre has been responsible for packing dance floors and creating memories in the minds of countless house heads in the country. Of course, all the house songs released were popping; however, these are the ones that will never grow old.

DJ Mbuso – ‘Mbuso’s Revenge’

This song was taken off the 2005 Soul Candi Session. The crazy bassline and racing percussion still makes it a house joint that will still drive you crazy WHEREVER you are.

Black Coffee – ‘Wathula Nje’

This iconic Black Coffee sound, with its jazzy melodies makes you want to just close your eyes and appreciate every single melody. I don’t remember anyone NOT loving this song!

DJ Fresh ft. Kellex and Thabiso – ‘Stay Real’

The lyrics, “you are who you are, don’t change’, would ring through our minds hours after the song ended. Lol, I can’t help but sing along right now!

Blackwhole – ‘1 000 seconds’

This song right here! Lol nakuphuma lengoma lena, bamangala batali kutsi besinani because it drove me crazy for the longest time!
